In 1987 an album was released by Ric records, Freddy's Greatest Hits. It features the Elm Street Group, and Robert Englund performs Freddy. There are some original pop/rock songs like "Down in the Boiler Room" and "Obsession"; and some oldies covers like "Do the Freddy", "Wooly Bully", "The Midnight Hour", and "Dream", all with a female lead vocalist. Freddy screams, laughs wickedly, and mocks lyrics, sometimes singing them.
